I study fashion and branding at the Amsterdam fashion institute, for everybody that did not read my About page, yet ;). This semester we had to study the fashion history from the eighties and nineties and long behold I came across this amazing artist from the eighties that made some pretty cool art. Unfortunately he passed away at a very young age due to a drug overdose. But thank god his art lives on, an example of that you can find underneath. A collaboration between watch/sunnies brand KOMONO and the great artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. The collab consists of 6 watches with his artwork on them. Jean-Michel was known for his as they called it ‘Graffiti-Art’ so a combination of both and you can really see his signature in these watches. Amazing I love them! Underneath you can find the pictures of these beautiful watches as well as information about KOMONO and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
So I decided that I would merge two things today, one is an amazing event for the new Eastpak collection and the other is the amazing store where the event was.
The store is called Groos and is located in Rotterdam and sells Rotterdams finest products from art to music to fashion. Groos by the way is a lost Dutch word for pride, thought you would like to know that. They sell brands such as Time For Wood, Alfredo Gonzales, Venour and Blue Days Footwear. So you can go there and walk out with a new outfit, new artwork for in your home and some really nice food! What more can you ask for? Underneath you will find pictures from the store that I took during the event.
Me at the event ^ always nice to have the pictures
But the reason I was there was the launch of the new Eastpak collection. Eastpak and Groos collaborated with 2 designers from Rotterdam to redesign an Eastpak bag. This time Zelda Beauchampet designer and own of the jewelry label The Boyscouts and designer Sabine Marcelis from Studio Sabine Marcelis were the ones chosen to take part in this amazing collaboration. Underneath you will find the product pictures of these amazing bags and the campaign images shot by Ruud Baan and styled by Isis Vaandrager.

For the people who read this post and think what the hell is FreshCotton? Let me tell you, here in Holland I think that they are about the biggest streetwear webshop for men. To celebrate their new webshop they decided to throw a party. An office party from 9 to 5 on a Friday, and let me tell you that was one hell of an office party. It all started with some nice healthy breakfast and piano music and ended in complete chaos (In a good way) I mean there was a tattoo artist who would tattoo for free, there was a barber that made everybody look even nicer then they already were. A writer read some of the complaints the costumer service got over the years and they were pretty funny. FreshCotton had many different artist come out to perform with dj’s such as Know V.A, Dj Drivah, Snelle Jelle, Dirtcaps and Feest Dj Ruud. Rappers included Josbros, Zwart Licht, Morcomaniac and Nouveau Riche. You know it is a good party when it ends with the bosses on the tables and champagne showers. So I have to say thanks FreshCotton for the amazing party, hope there will be one soon ;).Underneath you will find some of the pictures I took and I will also give you guys a link to their facebook and website to see the rest of the pictures.

Yes I am so excited it is finally online, the video I went to Paris for. Kika’s guess it’s alright! I had the privilege to do the styling for this Portuguese singer and to be in Paris with her and the rest of the crew to shoot her video there. I am very happy with the result, it fits the song very well. But off course I would like to hear what you think as well. Underneath you can view the video:
