This month on The Sneaker Drop, the Nike Olympic Pack. Nike has assembled three classic models as well as their modern counterparts in light of the highly anticipated Olympic and Paralympic games that will be held in Rio de Janeiro in the coming month.

Below we have the Nike Air Pegasus ’92. This retro sneaker represented the incredible accomplishments that the USA team achieved during the 1992 Olympics games in Barcelona. The Pegasus ’92 is very aesthetically pleasing. It features the mix of solid premium leather and mesh alongside the national colours. The sneaker is finished off with a slick metallic gold touch on the midsole.  

Nike has revamped the Pegasus ’92 with the Nike Zoom Air Pegasus creating a more dynamic and sleek look although keeping the same contrast of colours. Nike also included their super responsive, low profile cushioning Zoom Air for a comfier and more explosive responsive sneaker that athletes would love.

Next up we have the Nike Air Classic BW. This retro sneaker continues with the national theme with the red USA embroidered lettering on the tongue along with the standout red swoosh. The upper is wrapped in black suede alongside navy and black mesh.

Refined and remixed, Nike have transformed the modern BW Ultra by removing the suede and mesh for a more streamline, modern look. Nike have also flipped the colourway, exchanging the black and navy upper for all white with hits of red and navy to go with the gold swoosh.

The pioneering Nike Air Presto was highly represented by both the Australian and American Olympic and Paralympic athletes of the 2000 games that was held in Sydney. The attention to detail via the whirls surrounding the navy midsole is a very imaginative aspect of the Air Presto. The piercing hits of red on the toe box, midsole and outsole would make sure you stand out from the crowd.

The Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit possessors an innovative, flexible sock like design that gives a greater feel of comfort to the modern day Presto. As well as comfort, the navy sock lining with hits of red allows for a more stability. The signature Air Presto cage also gives great midfoot support. The Flyknit material that covers the shoe provides a breathable and incredibly lightweight upper. The team USA colours are represented throughout the Air Presto and the golden cage resembling the past success in the Olympic and Paralympic games.
